The Your safety at work credential covers the skills and knowledge that assist you in understanding and implementing practices that promote safe work ethics, that should be implemented in a workplace to avoid accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Your safety at work comprises of 2 micro-credential stacked courses of learning, followed by a completion of assessment tasks at the end of each skill level, to test the learner’s knowledge and understanding.

It comprises 7 lessons of learning, followed by a completion quiz to test your knowledge and understanding.  By the end of this course, you will demonstrate understanding in:

  • Legislations that are applicable to workplace health & safety 
  • Implementing and practising procedures and safety instructions
  • Identifying common hazards, risks and controls in retail
  • Procedures to follow in the event of accident and incidents occurring
  • PPE and safe manual handling techniques to apply in a retail environment
  • Identifying dangerous substances and psychosocial hazards
  • Procedures to apply in emergencies
  • WHS discussions and consultation
